Background: Shortly after the battle on Bel’al, Aureus Ancelles returned to the Imperial halls of Hyperion only to find an empire in ruins. The Great possession may have come to an end but with Xephrides’ body still missing any form of peace was tenuous at best. Worse still, rumours had begun to spread that the Mori clan may have claimed the body for themselves. Upon confronting his brother Corvus about the rumours, Ancelles was assassinated and an imperial order to seek out and destroy the clan was issued. Fallen sun is Ancelles’ own blade, now a fitting symbol of Ancelles’ fate and the clan itself. Intel suggest Corvus presented the sword to Heirophant Phales as a token of Corvus’ fealty with Phales still in possession of it to this day.
Ability: An enemy combatant must swap their blade for a weapon with a length no greater than 60cm.
Gameplay: the Fallen Sun artefact requires the use of a lightsaber no longer that 60cm from kashira/pommel to saber tip. To play the Fallen Sun artefact, a faction leader must first declare the artefact to the Game Master before the bout after both sides have declared their schedule of fighters. a 6-sided die should be rolled to determine which fighter will use the short saber. Rolling a 1-2 means fighter 1 will use the saber, rolls 3-4 indicates the second fighter and rolls 5-6 indicates the third fighter.
Conditions: The Fallen Sun artefact may only be included in a randomisation pool for the Chrysalet.
