Background: Legends speak of an ancient device on Valenor called the Kai’let that could turn back time by nearly a full month. It is said that when Valenor was first colonised before the age of the El’entar, the indigenous tribes offered up the Kai’let to the Stell Imperium as a token of peace between their peoples. However, despite extensive geologic surveys and sub-surface scans, no such device has ever been found. More recently, Heirophant Rof’ar at the Aoric Versarium has argued the device could be hiding outside of time itself. For this reason, Rof’ar recommends searching for locations that have known time distortions in the area. These include the Karrow Temple ruins, the Chrysalet and the Hallowed plains.
Ability: A faction leader may elect any single lost match to be replayed before the end of a Chapter.
Gameplay: To use the Kai’let, faction leaders must declare to the Game Master at least one week before the end of the Chapter that they wish to replay any assault or defence phase previously conducted by themselves and any other house. This may also include any remaining scheduled fights to be conducted before the end of the Chapter. Once notified, the Game Master must then declare to the opposing faction of the replay. When conducting a replay, both factions must only field the fighters included in the previous bout. The opposing faction must also use the sequence of fighters previously declared. However, the faction leader using the artefact is free to change the sequence of fighters. If the faction leader has declared the use of the Kai’let but the assault/repel has not yet taken place, the faction may conduct the next assault/repel and then decide after the bout whether they wish to proceed with the replay, however, this action will still count towards the artefact’s use for the chapter, even if they do not conduct the replay.
Conditions: The Kai’let may only be included in a randomisation pool for the following districts: The Karrow Temple Ruins, The Chrysalet, The Hallowed Plains.
